Reelio
Reelio Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: August 15, 2026
This policy explains how Reelio processes information when you use its browser, local library, Private Space, feedback, and basic runtime services. Reelio is a local-first browser and file utility. This release does not require an account, display advertising, or provide memberships, in-app purchases, or subscriptions.
Summary
- Browsing history, bookmarks, saved webpage entries, saved files, playback progress, Private Space files, passcodes, and preferences are stored on your device by default.
- Reelio sends information over the network only when needed for a feature you use, such as remote configuration, webpage-entry saving, webpage summarization, announcements, or feedback.
- A saved webpage entry keeps the webpage address and related local metadata. Reopening it requires a network connection and the original webpage to remain available; Reelio does not create an offline copy of the webpage.
- Reelio 1.0.0 does not integrate third-party product analytics, behavioral analytics, or session-recording SDKs. It does not use IDFA or data for cross-app advertising tracking.
- You can delete local content in Reelio, clear supported local data, or uninstall the app. You can contact us about information submitted through support or online services.
1. Information We Process
1.1 Content stored on your device
Browsing history, bookmarks, saved webpage entries, save tasks, imported or saved files, playback progress, Private Space files, app passcodes, and preferences are primarily stored in Reelio's local app storage. A saved webpage entry is an address and related metadata for later access, not an offline webpage copy. Reopening it requires a network connection and the original webpage to remain available. Reelio does not routinely upload the contents of your local library or Private Space. Deleting the app may permanently remove content stored only in the app sandbox, so keep your own backup of content you are entitled to retain.
1.2 Device and basic runtime information
To provide remote configuration, feature compatibility, and service security, we may process an anonymous installation or device identifier, device model, iOS version, app version, language and region, time zone, network status, installation time, and request time. Version 1.0.0 does not use a third-party analytics or session-recording SDK to collect feature interactions, screen recordings, or performance analytics.
1.3 Network feature requests
When you actively use a network feature, Reelio may send the minimum information needed to complete it. This can include a webpage URL you submit to save as an entry, webpage text submitted for summarization, app and device technical information used for configuration or service compatibility, language preferences, request timestamps, and feedback details. Network providers and our services may also process IP address, User-Agent, request path, and security logs as part of delivering and protecting the service.
1.4 Information you submit
When you contact support or submit feedback, we receive the email address, issue description, screenshots, device details, or log excerpts you choose to provide. Do not send passwords, private files, payment information, or unrelated sensitive personal information.
2. Third-Party Services
We use service providers only as needed to provide app functions, protect services, and troubleshoot issues. Their processing is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
| Service | Purpose | Information that may be processed |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting legal pages and operating API, configuration, announcement, feedback, and security infrastructure | IP address, request path, User-Agent, timestamp, security events, and necessary request parameters |
| Webpage-entry and AI service providers | Save a webpage entry or process webpage text only when you request the related feature | Submitted webpage URL, webpage text, app language, and minimum technical request data |
| Apple system services | Provide Photos access, local-network permission, biometric authentication, and App Store distribution | Permission status and information processed by iOS under Apple's policies |
Reelio 1.0.0 includes no advertising, third-party product analytics, behavioral analytics, or session-recording SDKs; it does not request IDFA, sell personal information, or use collected data for cross-app or cross-site advertising tracking.
3. Permissions
- Photos: import images or videos and save media to your photo library.
- Local Network: transfer files between your devices on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Face ID / Touch ID: protect app access and Private Space on your device.
You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
4. Purposes and Legal Grounds
- Provide the features you request and maintain the app's local and online functions.
- Protect services, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain reliability.
- Use necessary technical information to improve feature compatibility and service reliability.
- Respond to support, privacy, legal, and regulatory requests.
Depending on applicable law, we rely on performing the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Reelio, your consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations.
5. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Local content remains on your device until you delete it, clear applicable app data, or uninstall Reelio. Server security and operational logs are retained only for a period reasonably necessary for service operation, security, diagnostics, dispute handling, and legal compliance, then deleted or anonymized where appropriate. Support communications are retained until the request is resolved and for any necessary legal or recordkeeping period.
6. Sharing and International Processing
We disclose information only to the service providers described above, when you direct us to do so, when needed to protect users and services, or when required by valid legal process. Service providers may process information in countries or regions outside yours, subject to their safeguards and applicable law. We do not sell personal information.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Manage Photos, Local Network, and biometric permissions in iOS Settings.
- Delete local files and app data through Reelio's available controls or by uninstalling the app.
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted through support or online services, subject to applicable law.
- Stop using network features or Reelio if you do not agree with this policy.
8. Security
We use measures such as HTTPS, iOS Keychain, local permission controls, access restrictions, and service security controls. No system is completely secure. Keep iOS updated and do not share your device or Reelio passcodes.
9. Children's Privacy
Reelio is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can review and address the request under applicable law.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when features, providers, laws, or operations change. Material changes will be communicated by updating this page or through an in-app notice where appropriate. The date at the top identifies the current version.
